Un vent nouveau souffle entre les pins d’une île reculée de l’archipel suédois. Au cœur d’un marais habité par les moustiques et des musiciens vieillissants, la rumeur se propage de l’arrivée d’un nouveau voisin, le légendaire chanteur Joey Tempest. Les adultes fument et braillent tandis que la petite Alba, deux ans à peine, fait de son mieux pour s’échapper de la terrasse branlante.
