Euro Connection is the main platform for the coproduction of short films
This two-day pitching and networking event aims at fostering partnerships between European and international production companies around short film projects. The next edition will take place on Tuesday February 3 and 4, 2026, and will include pitching sessions, informal networking for producers and participants and one-on-one business meetings.
Our annual call for projects is launched across Europe and will result in the selection of 12 short film projects and 4 XR projects whose producers will be invited to pitch at Euro Connection and network with the participating industry audience of potential co-producers.
The call for entries is now open, until October 20, 2025.
May apply producers legally based in one of the countries associated to Euro Connection 2026 (see list below. All projects must match the following criteria:
- The project is a short film (animation, fiction, creative documentary).
- The duration does not exceed 30 minutes.
- The project must have partial funding in place granted from an external source (third party organisation).
- The producer intends to develop the film as an international coproduction.
- Shooting or production shall start no earlier than June 2026.
Support to Ukraine
The organisation of Euro Connection invites Ukraine as associated country to give a chance to directors born in Ukraine to apply with a project in development wherever she/he may reside on the European continent. The project needs to be attached to a coproduction company based in Ukraine or in Europe and looking for coproduction partners.
XR Projects
A session with XR projects will be presented as part of Euro Connection. Producers wishing to apply with an XR project are invited to do so using online form below.
May apply:
- AR/VR/XR projects with a maximum duration of 45 minutes.
- Presented by a production company based in the European Union.
- With initial/partial funding secured.
- Whose production will not start before June 2026.
The selection committee will select up to 4 XR projects.

Countries associated to the 2026 edition are:
Austria, Baltic countries, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands & Flanders, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine.
In each country, the national correspondent sets up an expert committee who will nominate 1 finalist project. A European jury will then review all finalist projects and select up to 11 projects for Euro Connection. Additionally, the winner of the Baltic Pitching Forum will be selected to Euro Connection as a result of the partnership between these two events.
Results of selection will be shared with participants early December and announced on our website on January 20, 2026.
Euro Connection revolves around:
- Script consulting session (online, mid-Dec. 2025)
- Live pitch training session (Monday 2 Feb. 2026).
- Live pitching sessions (Tuesday 3 Feb. 2026).
- Facilitated networking for producers and participants.
- One-on-one business meetings (Wednesday 4 Feb. 2026).
Clermont-Ferrand accreditation holders wishing to attend Euro Connection pitching sessions will be able to book their seat using the online form available here from January 20, 2026. 150 industry delegates take part in Euro Connection each year.
142 films were completed, including 77 international co-productions, as a result from the first 17 editions.
Euro Connection is organised by Sauve qui peut le court métrage, as part of the Short Film Market, with the support of the Creative Europe MEDIA program and PROCIREP.
