LE COURT 2027 | 49th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival
The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the world’s leading event dedicated to short films. Organized by the Sauve qui peut le court métrage association, the 49th festival (and its short film market) will take place from January 29 to February 6, 2027. It will feature masterpieces of animation, comedy, contemporary reality, genre films, graduation works from the world’s top schools, and documentaries from around the globe. Once again, short films will be revealed in all their richness and diversity in Auvergne, in the heart of winter.
The artwork for the next edition will be created by illustrator Manon Diemer. She visited Clermont-Ferrand in February 2026 to explore the festival and meet Karolis Strautniekas, the Lithuanian artist who designed the 2026 poster.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lyon and then at Gobelins, Manon has been working out of La Rochelle and Paris. She devotes herself entirely to drawing, bringing a unique sense of composition derived from her background in photography. Her work reflects a love for the raw and wild beauty of nature and is rooted in a commitment to the fields of ecology and environmental preservation.

The poster was designed by Lithuanian artist Karolis Strautniekas. A full article is dedicated to it, which you can find here.
The spotlight featured Southeast Asian cinema, with films from the past decade, and the thematic retrospective was dedicated to holidays.
