Every year, the short film festival offers its audience its African Perspectives section: two programmes of short films that explore the riches of pan-African cinema while showcasing the continent’s young talent.
For 35 years, the African Perspectives section has established itself as an essential space for discovering Pan-African cinema within the Festival. Through two programs, the section celebrates the vitality of its forms, the diversity of its perspectives, and the emergence of new voices from the African continent.
This edition brings together eleven films that transcend borders and imaginations, exploring multiple contemporary realities.
A discussion with the filmmakers will take place after the first screening of each program, on Saturday 31 January, at 16:30 and 19:30 in the Salle des Possibles, moderated by filmmaker Camille Varenne, selection committee member of the International Competition and African Perspectives section.
