INTERNAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 2026–2027

CLERMONT-FERRAND INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
CLERMONT-FERRAND SHORT FILM MARKET

Any person entering a space of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and/or the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market, hereinafter collectively referred to as “Le Court,” is required to comply with these internal rules and regulations (hereinafter the “Internal Rules”), as well as with all instructions given by the staff of the association Sauve qui peut le court métrage (SQP) or its service providers.

A person’s mere presence within the premises of Le Court constitutes acknowledgment of having read these Internal Rules and unconditional acceptance of their terms, in compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory provisions.

Should any provision of these Internal Rules conflict with any current or future legal or regulatory provision, it shall be deemed unwritten, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

TERMINOLOGY

  • Le Court Premises: all screening venues, public and professional meeting spaces, activities, and festivities related to Le Court, whether access is paid or free of charge. This includes, in particular, all venues listed on the dedicated page of our website.
  • Public: any person entering the premises of Le Court, whether paying or non-paying, for personal or professional purposes (audience members, technicians, journalists, invited artists, partners, service providers, volunteers, etc.).
  • Access Pass: any ticket, invitation, pass, badge, or accreditation granting access to one or more spaces or events of Le Court.

ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE

These Internal Rules govern the operation of Le Court and apply to all spaces and events organized within its framework.

ARTICLE 2 – ACCESS

2.1 Acceptance of the Internal Rules

Any person entering the premises of Le Court must comply with these Internal Rules.

2.2 Access to Paid Events

Access to paid events of Le Court is subject to presentation of a valid Access Pass. Only Access Passes purchased through authorized points of sale or online via billetterie.clermont-filmfest.org are valid.

The purchase of an Access Pass constitutes acceptance of these Internal Rules and the general terms and conditions of sale.

Each Access Pass is unique. Once scanned via QR code at the entrance of a venue, it is no longer valid. No duplicate will be accepted, including in the event of loss, theft, or reproduction. Access Passes are neither exchangeable nor refundable, except where otherwise provided by law or the applicable general terms and conditions of sale.

The resale of Access Passes is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

2.3 Access to Free Events by Reservation

Some screenings are accessible free of charge with mandatory reservation. The Public must hold a valid free Access Pass, obtained exclusively through authorized distribution points.

Access Passes offered by Le Court (invitations, partner passes, complimentary tickets, etc.) are strictly personal and non-transferable. Checks may be carried out at any time.

2.4 Reduced Rates and Punctuality

For any reduced-rate Access Pass, proof of eligibility may be required. Failing this, access may be denied.

Access to a screening room may be refused after the start of a screening.

2.5 Authorized Personnel

Any person present as part of their professional involvement in the ongoing event (filmmakers and film teams, guests, technicians, journalists, partners, service providers, etc.) must wear a visible badge indicating their status and level of access (pass or accreditation). These badges are issued exclusively by the Festival.

2.6 Opening Hours and Door Access

To facilitate access to screenings and ensure smooth entry, the Public is encouraged to arrive in advance. Opening times for venues and screenings are indicated on Le Court’s website, in the catalogue, the audience guide, and the professional meetings guide. These times are provided for information purposes only and may be modified, particularly in accordance with recommendations from the relevant authorities.

The Public is invited to regularly consult Le Court’s website and social media channels for updates. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

2.7 Refusal of Access

Le Court reserves the right to refuse entry or require any person to leave the premises if they fail to comply with these Internal Rules or applicable regulations, without entitlement to reimbursement.

ARTICLE 3 – SAFETY

In consultation with public authorities, SQP adapts its security services across all Le Court venues. These rules may evolve depending on the requirements of the relevant authorities.

3.1 Security Checks

Security checks may be carried out at the entrance and within the premises of Le Court, including visual inspection of bags and personal belongings, in accordance with applicable regulations and Vigipirate security requirements.

Any person refusing to undergo these checks will be denied access without reimbursement.

3.2 Individual Responsibility

Each person is responsible for any material or immaterial damage they may cause within the premises of Le Court.

3.3 Prohibited Items

It is prohibited to bring into the premises of Le Court any object likely to endanger people or property, including in particular:

  • weapons or dangerous objects
  • explosive, flammable, or illegal substances
  • alcoholic beverages
  • wheeled objects (except wheelchairs)
  • animals
  • selfie sticks

This list is non-exhaustive.

Le Court reserves the right to determine whether any object is dangerous or inappropriate.

Prohibited items may be temporarily confiscated at the entrance and, depending on their nature, stored or handed over to the relevant authorities. Items prohibited by law cannot be returned.

3.4 Responsibility for Personal Belongings

The Public remains responsible for their personal belongings. In the absence of a cloakroom or storage service, Le Court declines all liability in case of loss or theft, within the limits provided by applicable law.

3.5 Lost Property

Lost property must be handed in to the volunteer cloakroom located in the Grand Hall of the Maison de la culture during the festival.

At the end of the event, unclaimed items are transferred to the Clermont-Ferrand city lost property office, 9 rue Saint-Adjutor.

No postal delivery will be made.

3.6 Food and Drinks

The introduction of food and beverages may be limited or prohibited depending on the venue. Only items purchased from authorized sales points may be permitted in certain spaces (Capitole and CGR Le Paris cinemas).

ARTICLE 4 – BEHAVIOUR, ACCESSIBILITY, CSR, AND CODE OF CONDUCT

Le Court and its organization are committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, based on concrete commitments to the environment, accessibility, inclusivity, equality, and diversity. By participating in Le Court, each person agrees to respect these principles and to adopt responsible behaviour, both socially and environmentally.

Le Court strives to promote accessibility for people with disabilities across all its spaces, within the limits of the technical constraints of each venue.

4.1 Respect for Individuals

Le Court promotes a safe, inclusive, respectful environment free from any form of violence, discrimination, or harassment, regardless of the reason (sex, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, origin, disability, cultural background, etc.). Any form of violent, intimidating, humiliating, or discriminatory behaviour or speech is strictly prohibited.

4.2 Respect for Personal Boundaries

Everyone must respect the personal boundaries of others: no person should be touched, approached, or harassed verbally or physically without explicit consent.

Minors remain under the responsibility of their legal guardians. Access to certain screenings may be subject to age restrictions.

4.3 Alcohol, Substances, and Risky Behaviour

Alcohol consumption must be responsible. The use of narcotics is strictly prohibited. Any inappropriate behaviour resulting from the use of alcohol or substances will not be tolerated and remains the sole responsibility of the person concerned.

4.4 Concrete CSR Commitment

The Public is encouraged to actively contribute to Le Court’s CSR approach by:

  • respecting environmental guidelines (waste sorting, sustainable mobility, etc.)
  • adopting eco-responsible behaviour (waste reduction, energy saving)
  • encouraging good practices among other festival attendees and professionals present

4.5 Awareness Team and Reporting

A trained support team is available throughout Le Court to assist, listen to, and guide any person who is a victim or witness of inappropriate behaviour. Contact details for designated representatives responsible for combating violence and discrimination are also displayed and available on site.

4.6 Violation of the Code of Conduct

Failure to comply with these commitments, whether behavioural or CSR-related, may result in measures ranging from a warning to temporary or permanent exclusion from Le Court, without reimbursement of the Access Pass, and, where necessary, legal proceedings.

ARTICLE 5 – CANCELLATION, INCIDENTS, AND EVACUATION

5.1 Refunds

In the event of cancellation of an event, only the price of the Access Pass may be refunded, excluding any additional costs, according to the terms set out in the applicable general terms and conditions of sale.

Any change in programme or schedule does not entitle the holder to a refund.

Le Court cannot be held liable in cases of force majeure or events beyond its control resulting in the modification, interruption, or cancellation of events.

Le Court reserves the right to interrupt or suspend a screening for technical, safety, or force majeure reasons.

5.2 Illness or Accident

Any illness or accident must be reported immediately to authorized staff. In the absence of proven medical qualifications, people are requested not to intervene.

5.3 Evacuation

In the event of a major incident, the Public must strictly follow the instructions given by staff and the authorities and evacuate the premises calmly.

ARTICLE 6 – IMAGE RIGHTS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Image Rights

As part of communication and promotion for Le Court and the activities of the association Sauve qui peut le court métrage, images and sound recordings may be made within Le Court premises and distributed on all print and digital media, including the festival and Cité du court websites, catalogues and related brochures, social media, mobile application, publications, and official communications.

Any person entering Le Court premises may appear incidentally in such recordings. In accordance with applicable regulations, each person has the right to object for legitimate reasons by contacting the organization.

These recordings may be used without time limitation and without financial compensation.

No use infringing upon the dignity or privacy of individuals will be made.

6.2 Intellectual Property

Any photographic, audio, or audiovisual recording is prohibited inside screening rooms, unless expressly authorized by Le Court.

Accredited journalists and service providers may only use their authorization strictly within the scope of the reporting declared during their accreditation request.

6.3 Personal Data

Personal data collected in connection with access to events is processed in accordance with applicable regulations.

ARTICLE 7 – SANCTIONS

Any violation of these Internal Rules may result in immediate exclusion from Le Court, without reimbursement of the Access Pass, and, where applicable, legal proceedings.

ARTICLE 8 – AMENDMENT OF THE RULES

These Internal Rules may be modified at any time without prior notice. Any amendment takes effect as soon as it is published.
