After a long absence, Max returns to Paris and moves in with his father in the Belleville district. He wanders the streets, curious about others, eager to meet new people, but soon finds himself confronted by a profound malaise.

Adi is trying to make a living doing deliveries. One evening, he finds his scooter taken to bits. As he tries to find who did this, he is not yet aware that this event is linked to strange phenomena taking place in this neighbourhood.

Sylvie and Karim have given it a lot of thought. At every breakfast and on every walk from the loo to the bathroom. They're ready to put the money they earned from scrubbing toilets and cleaning up the Bellevue Hotel into Sylvie's latest aspiration: acquiring a domestic football player.

South of France. Adrien, a pool fitter, is installing a shutter for a big customer: Vincent, a sixty-year-old man, who is drowning his wife's departure in pastis, xenophobia and love for his dog Essling. But that day, the small dog disappears. Vincent loses it and embarks Adrien on a crazy quest, looking for a scapegoat.
