THAI SHORT FILM@30
This special programme proudly celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the Thai Short Film and Video Festival, organised by the Thai Film Foundation in collaboration with the Thai Film Archive.
The oldest film festival in the country, it began in the simplest of ways before gradually becoming the true beating heart of emerging Thai cinema. Many filmmakers who are now among the most acclaimed – whether creators of major popular hits or leading figures in arthouse cinema – took their first steps there. More than just a screening venue, the Festival has established itself as a space of freedom and inspiration, a point of anchorage for an entire generation of filmmakers who, through short film, have shaped the history of independent Thai cinema over the past three decades.
This programme brings together a selection of major short films by some of the festival’s most notable alumni: Parkpoom Wongpoom, Aditya Assarat, Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit, Tanwarin Sukkhapisit, Jirassaya Wongsutin, Tulapop Saenjaroen, and Anocha Suwichakornpong.

FROM GROUND ZERO +
A collection of untold stories from Gaza
The Court and Coorigines Production present a selection of four short films from the From Ground Zero + collection.
From Ground Zero + is composed of a series of 20- to 30-minute short films, as well as several feature films, offering portraits of life in Gaza through the eyes of local filmmakers. Building on the experience gained during the production of From Ground Zero, initiated by Rashid Masharawi, this project brings together a diversity of stories, each exploring a particular facet of human experience in the face of armed conflict, difficult periods of reconstruction, and collective mourning.
Together, these works offer a new perspective on resilience and hope at the heart of a situation that remains uncertain. This project was made possible with the support of the Masharawi Fund for Films and Filmmakers, in partnership with Coorigines Production.
